Laser Assisted Dentistry

Doctors have been using lasers for years to provide better care for their patients like LASIK vision correction laser treatment. Now, Davis County Dental can offer the benefits of advanced laser technology for your dental care here in Bloomfield, IA. Ask us about how this could improve your care today.

The "Straight" Story

Davis County Dental is now able to provide orthodontics for our patients, reducing time out of school for Davis County students.  Orthodontics is the movement of teeth for improved alignment through an appliance, usually wires and brackets.

Misaligned teeth and an incorrect bite may affect more than just the appearance of your smile. The following conditions may potentially be corrected or risk reduced through orthodontics:

  • Speech impediments
  • Difficulty chewing and eating
  • Sleep apnea caused by mouth breathing and snoring
  • Grinding or clenching of the teeth
  • Gum disease and tooth decay

Early intervention is an important part of orthodontics. Early treatment can avoid the need for full braces or cause a shorter time in braces. Most importantly, it can mean better function, breathing, reduce risk for relapse and confidence throughout your child’s life.

Clear Aligner Therapy

Straight teeth can now be achieved without metal and wires. This means that many adults that have wanted to improve the appearance of their smiles now have a “clear” choice.   Be sure to ask Dr. Gratz if this would be a good choice for your smile.

Dr. Gratz includes an orthodontic screening as part of every exam and will inform parents and patients if they could benefit from braces or Clear Aligner Therapy treatment.   Ask our team if you want more information about braces and your smile.

More Than Digital With X-rays

NOMAD is a new device that allows a trained dental provider to administer diagnostic radiation exposure with a handheld device without having to leave the treatment room. This is especially helpful when seeing patients that may become apprehensive, like small children. This new device allows our office to gather safer diagnostic information for our patients and our team in a wider variety of situations.

Offering Patients Dentistry That Fits Their Lifestyle

Latest technology creates natural-looking crowns, veneers, and fillings in a single dental visit.

Davis County Dental is pleased to offer same day crowns, fillings, and veneers to qualifying patients. At the forefront of dental technology, Davis County Dental recently incorporated the E4D Dentist™ system into the treatment options available to patients. As a result, Dr. Gratz can take a digital scan of the patient’s tooth and design and create a custom, permanent restoration in the dental office, all in a single appointment.
